Dr. Emily Hutchins

Dr. Hutchins graduated summa cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2017. As a student, she was an active member of the optometric community serving on multiple boards for student organizations and holding membership with several honor societies including Gold Key International honor society, Tomb and Key honor society, and Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity. She went on to complete a one-year intensive residency at the Minneapolis VA hospital specializing in brain injury, low vision, and primary care optometry. Her education and work history are representative of her commitment to provide the best vision possible for all her patients. Dr. Hutchins grew up in Le Mars, Iowa and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 2009. She completed her undergraduate education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Music and Biology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, drinking espresso, antiquing, and discovering new music.

Dr. Jordan Langel

Dr. Langel was born and raised in Le Mars, graduating from Gehlen Catholic in 2012. He continued his education at The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology in 2016. Dr. Langel finished his education in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry graduating cum laude in 2020. As an optometry student he earned membership in both Beta Sigma Kappa and Tomb and Key honor societies.

After optometry school Dr. Langel practiced as an independent Optometrist with Shopko Optical in Sioux Falls before relocating back to Le Mars with his family. He and his wife, Abby, have two children and enjoy time spent together on their acreage. When not caring for patients Dr. Langel enjoys disc golf, gardening, reading, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.
